Utah State Universityıs Interior Design Studio Emphasis received a six-year Accreditation in 2008 and has been CIDA (Council for Interior Design Accreditation) accredited since 1992. Accreditation is a process of peer review and self-review designed to maintain program quality and accountability to the public.

The CIDA accreditation process includes
* a detailed and careful process of self-evaluation
* a series of evaluations and reviews by the CIDA Accreditation Visiting Team, the CIDA Evaluation Committee, and the Accreditation Commission All evaluators are interior design practitioners and educators.
